This is a chart listing the ancestors of Steve Young. To read it, follow this key: Steve is No. 1, after that, all males are even-numbered and females are odd-numbered. Double the person's number to find that person's father; Steve's mom is #3 so her dad is #6. Her grandfather is #12, her great-grandfather is 24 and so on up. I have paired off couples, where I know both names, with a horizontal rule. I put a double horizontal rule between Steve's dad's and mom's sides of the family. As we reach the end of what is known about a family, those numbers drop out. That's why numbers are skipped. When those ancestors get researched and "found," we can stick them in with their numbers in the correct places, without re-numbering everyone else. I know the type is small, but this is a huge file. I advise against printing it out! Some wives's names are not known way back in this list; and some actual birth-places are not known, so we use "of" meaning the person lived there at one time.
